God existed from the start,
over the waters, the Spirit played its part.

God crafted all with spoken word,
“Let there be light!” was what was heard.
And so it was on day one,
light, a creation second to none.

Expanding to every side,
land, sea, and plants in the tide.
Sun, moon, and stars adorned the sky,
air and sea filled with creatures that fly.

On the sixth day, creatures of the land,
from the smallest ant to those grand…
In His image, man was formed,
to govern creation, he was adorned.

God looked upon His creation’s face,
declaring everything in its place.
On the seventh day, God did rest,
which is why this day is now blessed.
